Changing channel meter appearance in Cubase 14 Pro

Hi,

I would like to change the channel meter appearance in C14Pro, at a minimum I would like to change the colouring to reflect the K20 system, roughly.

Ideally, I would like to be able to actually apply the K20 metering that is present as an option in the metering preferences. But no matter what I select here, the channel meters refuse to show anything but the default +3 dB digital option.

Is this really all I am able to get? @Steinberg: if so, why are there a whole set of options for metering appearance in the preference section?

Best,

Magnus

Hello Magnus,

Here’s a link hope this helps

Thank you for the link. What I want is to change the metering in the lower section mixer strip.

Magnus

In the video at 3m 40 for example the blue you would like to split that section for additional colors ?

If you right click on the small bars that seperate the colors I think it adds additional separators for more sections to color

The regular channels are fixed to display the +3dBFS meters. You can only change their color appearance but you can’t switch to K20 meters.
The other options all refer to the right zone’s output meter.

Thanks everyone for pitching in. I will change the colouring of the meters. It would be cool though, if the options in preferences also worked for the lower zone mixer strip.

All the best and thanks again
