Changing Coda to Through-composed

Hello, I have a piece that contains a Coda section (typical D.S. al Coda back to Segno, along with a “to Coda” indicator to the Coda). The composer now wants to make the piece completely through-composed, removing the coda and writing it again. What is the best way to do this in Dorico? I suppose adding the proper number of coda bars at the appropriate place, then copy/paste the coda in those bars and remove all coda verbiage. Or is there a more automated/streamlined way?

Thank you

I’d…

  • Select the section between the segno and the “to Coda” and Copy it (ctrl-C)
  • Engage Insert (I)
  • Select the start of the Coda and Paste (ctrl-V)
  • Disengage insert (I)
  • Delete the segno, to coda, DS and Coda markers.

There should be no need to insert bars as Insert Mode will create the necessary musical time.
