@Danix78 is right, it is possible via the display option. However, there are a few things to beware of. Here’s how to set it up:
- Open the metronome dialog Transport/Metronome Settings and open the Click Pattern page.
Adjust your 9/8 pattern with additional stress on beat 4 and 7. Afterwards, click on the red underlined space with the star. There is no star right now - you have to click here to set this pattern up as your new default pattern for 9/8 bars (important!).
Quit the metronome settings.
- Open the ruler menu of your desired choice (project window, any editor) by clicking here
Check the option
“Use metronome click pattern for grid line emphasis”
That’s it.
