Changing dynamics within a tied note

Hi all, is there a fast way to create something like this?

How I did it:

  • create the mfp
  • create the <mp by going there with the caret

Is there any faster way? If I select the complete note and type “mfp<mp” I cannot move the hairpin to the second bar.

I hope there is a faster way.

Using the caret is quite efficient and very precise. I think it’s my favorite workflow for this kind of thing.

If you select the tie chain and enter < mp first, then you can drag the start of the hairpin to the second measure. Then select the tie chain again and enter the mfp.

It depends on how you think and work – I’m not sure that one of these methods is particularly faster than the other.
