Changing flow numbers to roman numerals

Hi,
sorry if this was asked before. Couldn’t find anything searching the Forum.
Is there a way to change the flow numbers from arabic numerals to roman numerals (yet)? Of course I can edit the flow header and change the flow names, but this would not be the typical Dorico way …

I don’t think this is possible yet.

It’s not possible yet; it has been noted by the team as this was requested a while back after 2.2 was released.

You must edit the token of the flow name:

  1. Double click on flow name (in page view).
  2. Change text {@flownumber@} to {@flowNumberRomanLower@} or {@flowNumberRomanUpper@} (if you want it in lower case or upper case).
  3. Click Enter.

Thanks, just what I was looking for.

@Derek_Williams, the above advice is outdated.
Instead go to Engrave Mode,
in the right panel go to Flow Headers,
double click to start editing them.
There you can change the token {@FlowNumber@} to {@FlowNumberUpperRoman@}.
Apply/Save.
Do this step for your Full Score Layout plus for the Part Layout.
