Changing font for just chord symbols

I’ve just upgraded to Dorico 5 and playing with the new fonts. Generally speaking I quote like the Petaluma font for handwritten style, withe the exception of the chord symbols. I was trying to change this over to use the Finale Ash fonts, but when I go in to fonts and change the chord symbols and select Finale Ash, the chord symbol font isn’t as appears when you select that as the entire font.

What’s the correct way to do this?

Do you make the changes in

Library > Fontstyle…

but i guess you are doing the changes there? What exactly doesn’t change the way you want it to? Maybe a picture would help

OK so this is the default Petaluma chords:-

And how the chord symbols are configured by default:-

If I switch the entire font to Finale Ash the chord symbols look thus:-

If I change the two settings above to Finale Ash:-

This is how the chords then look:-

You have to change the font family and and pay attention that it’s active.

If you set Finale Ash for the whole project, you can see how the chord Symbols Fonds are set up.

You get your desired result by setting

“Chord Symbols Music Text Font” to “Petaluma” (Finale Ash has small Triangles)

and

“Chord Symbol Font” to “Finale Ash Text”
