Is it possible to change multiple time signatures at the same time? Say I have 2/4, 3/4, 2/4, 4/4 and I want to change the whole thing to 4/4 is there a way to select the bars I want to change and just change all the time signatures at the same time? Currently I have to change each one manually. It would be great if it would also just make the bar longer when I go from 3/4 to 4/4 without me having to press the add bar button.
aural,
I would try it this way:
- select one of the time signatures
- “Select More” via the menu (this will select all time signatures)
- Backspace/Delete (this will remove all time signatures)
- add your 4/4 time signature at the beginning of the piece (as the time signature will not change throughout the piece, there is no need for “reminder” 4/4 time signatures)
Tried that it doesn’t fully work because dorico creates orphan bars when you change from 3 to 2
That is why you need Insert mode to be on, so Dorico can create the empty beats to make complete bars.
Yes Janus, I forgot about Insert Mode having to be activated first…
