Changing the pitch of a snare drum?

Hello guys,

I was wondering if there is something in Nuendo that I can use to drop the pitch of my snare drum? Or, is there a plug or program out that would accomplish this?

Thanks guys.
Best.

Waves’ “Torque” has been developed specifically for changing the pitch of percussion instruments on the fly, but my first call would be simply Nuendo’s own “Audio Transpose” function.

Hello Dietz,
Thank you for taking time to help. You always seem to bail me out. Appreciated.
I’ll check “Torqe” out and as well as “audio transpose”.

Hey Dietz,
I’m messin’ with “Torque” now. Ha… It actually does what I was looking for.
I mean, tuning my drums is something I always do daily. But sometimes, when you track and you hear the snare a “bit” too high, this App works pretty good.
Says a good take.
Again, my thanks Dietz for your time and help.

Best.
Mark

Glad to hear that I could help.

“Torque” is a strange animal, though. When it works, its results are sometimes even better than re-recording as it offers so much freedom for fine-tuning in context. But there are occasions where I simply can’t find proper settings, no matter how hard I try. 8-/ In those cases a good pitch shifter is the second-best option (… one that doesn’t mess with the attacks and the micro-timing).
