Hello and thanks for helping me.
is there any way to keep what template I have and add to it. I’m have a custom template that I’m using but I fear that it is inadequate, as is its creator.
When I change templates all my vst routings change as well, and well, that can’t be right. Any help is necessary. (I’m off to re-read the manual in this section, or maybe I’ll drop in on a Hughe’s tut.
Once a playback template is applied, you can either
- add manually other VSTis and do all the wiring manually (expression maps or percussion maps, assigning channels, etc.) — then, the applied playback template will be overridden and won’t be used anymore by Dorico automatically
- or apply another playback template, which will replace totally the first one.
I suggest you watch John Barron’s video about creating your own playback templates and use that route: you can choose which instruments will be played by which VSTi and no longer have to manually wire things up (to a certain point).
