I am wondering how to change the spacing in write mode/gallary view to prevent these colisions.
I have searched for forum, but the layout options are not changing the layout.
thanks for the help.

This might help although there’s no option specifically for lyrics:
“Dorico Pro does not perform automatic collision avoidance in galley view”
I and others strongly recommend that you hyphenate lyrics according to the dictionary. Divisions like “mou-ntains” and “su-nshine” are ridiculous to read. I know you are trying to show sustaining on the vowel, but English does not read like that, and wrong hyphenation just leads to mispronunciation.
Hi SoliDeoGloria, I use this site to hyphenate my lyrics all the time.

Put your lyrics into the box, then click “Hyphenate My Text!”. Then copy the lyrics to the clipboard. Go to Dorico, select the first note where you want lyrics to begin. Type “SHIFT L” for the lyrics popover. Then begin pasting each syllable into the popover. To skip over any notes hit the spacebar. If you want a bunch of syllables or even whole words on one note, type OPTION SHIFT SPACE for a non-breaking space (on MAC). It’s fun!
