Changing Time Signatures Shifts All Subsequent Ones in the Project

When writing music which needs to be in sync (to film, video, etc.), time signature changes are very common. However, the problem in Cubase (and all most DAW’s) is that if you need to go back and make a meter change later on, it automatically shifts all subsequent meters since there is no way to lock them to their position. However, in Dorico you can do this quite easily and the meters stay where they should be. I’ve attached examples below from each app. So even though they changed the notation engine in Cubase 14 based on Dorico, they still work completely differently from each other. There should be some option in Cubase to tell the app not to shift subsequent time signatures when editing an existing one.
I’ve already went over this with Steinberg tech support and they recommended me to post it here since there appears to be no current options to change this behavior.

I know I’m being extremely pedantic, but could you change “meter” to “metre”?
I thought this would be about the mix console, not the score editor.

I would be amazed if nobody else ever noticed this before, especially anyone work with files synced to video in Cubase. I’ve been telling Steinberg about this for at least a few years now.
