I am struggling to use Cubases chord assistant when composing harmonies beyond major and minor. Example: I want to compose a piece in Dorian. I know that I can set the scale in chord track to a key in Dorian. But how can I use circle of fifth to pick chords which work well with the mode/scale?
These 2 videos perfectly help to understand that modes can be thought of major scales just starting at different root. Voila setting up Cubase is no longer a difficult task.
