can someone set the default chord diagram a bigger or smaller size
changing values in layout options /chord diagram/scale factor does nothing

The scale factor for chord diagrams in Layout Options applies to the used chord diagrams grids shown at the start of flows only. To change the size of chord diagrams that appear alongside chord symbols in the music, see here.
