Chord diagrams without Staves

Can I do this in Dorico?
Chords.pdf (44.6 KB)

You can get reasonably close, yes. You can display fingerings in chord diagrams, and you can also display a set of the chord diagrams used in the flow in a frame preceding the first system of the flow. You can effectively force that first system onto the next page, leaving only the frame of chord diagrams.

However, you can’t freely arrange the chord diagrams as shown here, e.g. with gaps in them, or with four on one row and then five on the next.

So ultimately you might find it easier to assemble this kind of layout outside of Dorico, perhaps using graphic slices to export chord diagrams from a Dorico project.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your reply. This helps!
I also found out, that Dan Kreiders MusFrets will do a pretty good job! And it’s working within a TextFrame in Dorico. Fantastico!

Does MusFrets work for uke or mandolin chord diagrams as well? I can’t tell if it includes a 4-string grid or not.

Never mind–I went ahead and purchased MusFrets. It does have a 4-string grid. It’s working really great! Thanks, @dan_kreider !
