Hi everyone, I’ve been attempting to load a “C major 7 chord” and keep getting a C7 instead. Any suggestions? Thx
In Cubase lingo j7 = Maj7
So
C | maj | 7 | C = C7
C | maj | j7 | C = Cmaj7
It’s not what some expect (myself included)
By the way, 7th chords can be any chord with a 7th. While you’re referring to dominant 7th chords.
To expand a bit - that 2nd column only refers to the basic triad.

I have always wished it was organized by chord type:
major
minor
dominant
half-diminished
diminished
sus 4 | 2
and that we could add any extension in any order. As it stands we cannot write certain spellings- b9 with #9, b13 or #5 with #11… I would like much more granularity.
We shall see what the future brings…
