Chord Track - No-Chord Symbol

Is there any way to indicate a no-chord passage in the chord track?

Just use the X

Does not seem to work with Cubase 14 anymore?!?

How do I type or select the X?

The X is displayed when an empty chord is drawn in on the cord track. You can use the draw tool or just double click where you want it on the cord track.

Thanks, @Wickham_Sky .
I tried to change an existing chord back to X, that’s why I failed.

Oh, I don’t think that is possible. You can always mute it

Hi,

There is no way, to set X, if a chord has been set already. The only way is to Mute Shift + M and Unmute Shift + U the Chord Event.

I tried that, but it did not work for me, @Martin.Jirsak . When I serached the key commands, ALT+M was shown to mute and unmute, and that actually muted/unmuted the chord symbol. However, it did not replace the content with an X. However, creating a new chrod symbol is sufficient for my workflow - thanks @Wickham_Sky .

Unfortunately, I cannot set a solution flag here, since I am not the creator of this topic.

Hi,

As I mentioned:

The Mute way is just a workaround to don’t have any Chord.

Ah, now I understood what you meant. To not make it the chord sound (in case I am using that funcationality)
Thanks again!
