I am trying to write a D6 chord symbol in the score, but Dorico doesn’t let me. It does show in the popup but not in the score, The root isn’t showing:
I get the root note showing when I check the Hide root box in the properties panel, but I wonder if this is suppose to work this way:
maybe the previous chord is a D chord?.. then only the change in bass note is shown. You can change that in Engraving options (I think )
Yes, you are right, it’s a D/A chord. I will have a look if this can be ignored. Thanks.
Right now the chords are showing above the vocal stave and the piano stave, I only want it to show above the vocal stave, but cannot find an engraving setting for this. Any suggestion how to do this? I cannot hide the lyrics in the properties panel.
in Setup, right-click the Player pane on the left, and you’ll see the available settings under Chord Symbols…
brilliant!
