Chromatic transposition for parts

I just completed a sextet arrangement which includes sax and trumpet. The chart has no key signature (I entered the notes in C Major) and by default, the transposed parts come out with 2 sharps. In Finale, one can chose between diatonic transposition and chromatic transposition (no key signature). How does one accomplish this in Dorico Pro?

I’ve spent a lot of time trying to find a usable solution, so hopefully someone can help me.

If I understand correctly, you have entered the C Major Key signature. Insted enter “Atonal” as key signature.
That should give you the result you want.

Thanks for the quick reply; problem fixed!

One more thing: there are “grey-ish” strips with bar numbers above the staves. I can’t find out what they are called or what their various functions are. Could you give me some info on that and perhaps a suggestion for a good tutorial on the subject?

Thanks,
Curt

Probably the system track. Toggle it with alt-T.

Thanks much; I just watched the video in Dorico help. This could be useful, for sure.

An alternative to the atonal key signature is to disable “Uses key signatures” in the instrument definition in Setup Mode.
