Hi there,
I would like to compose an organ piece with labial and lingual organ registers, which I would like to modify (not much, just for a demo). Is this possible, and how? Thank you!

Labial (Flute Pipes) and Lingual (Reed Pipes), right? Those adjustments (where they exist) will be part of the instrument, not the main Dorico program. If you are using Halion Sonic for playback let’s say, you could change the Halion instrument’s sample preset to “Flutey Pipes” or “Reed& Pipe Organ”. Halion Sonic would also let you load both presest and create a mix/Balance.
Halion Sonic isn’t an instrument that specializes in organ though. Hearing that kind of request makes me wonder if you would like others her to chime in on alternative VST instruments you can use for playback with more detailed organist friendly stops and such.
Hi, of course there are a number of payed organ vsti’s, but I found one free organ, that perhaps meets your needs. It is Leeds town hall organ . If you have the Full Kontakt Player (Payed version), you can use it in that player. There are a few presets. The first presets are Labial stops, the last one are Reed Pipes. I didn’t use it, so I have no experience with it, but I liked the sound. There is also a EXS24 version and a Reason NN-XT version.
You will want a VST that will allow you to make stop selections (or select predetermined registers)
This is a Fisk instrument with the ability to select classes and a few individual stops

An English instrument, which allow you mostly classes (diapasons, strings, flutes, reeds, and the mixture individually) - I didn’t pay anything like the price indicated.

A Schlicker with individual stop selection. No preview but the link works.
Never heard them called that before! Anyway, you’ll need one or more sample instruments with a range of different registrations or stops, and a MIDI control to switch between them, like changing the MIDI channel, or setting a CC value.
Then you’ll have to create PlayING Techniques that trigger PlayBACK techniques, which your Expression map can assign the relevant MIDI command to!
Thanks for the link. I had to create an account and wade through a lot of junk, but the download also comes with SFZ files, so it will work with ARIA Player! (There are some errors in the instrument definitions, but I can fix that…!)
Dear gdball, thank you very much! Yes, for now, a simple switch between flute pipes and reed pipes is sufficient. It’s only meant as a demonstration for the organist. However, I’m stuck on setting up the playback. How can I enter “reed pipes” in bar 1 and “switch to flute pipe/ tutti” in bar 13 in the score so that the change is audible in Dorico?
