For some peculiar - if not bizarre - reason, I’d like to present a whole note as a circled notehead, where the notehead would have bigger padding.
Scaling up ‘Circled noteheads’ in Engrave mode affects both - the notehead and the circle.
Hence, my question: Is there a way to increase the size of the circle without increasing the size of the notehead.
The note spacing is not a concern.

You’d need to create your own composite notehead consisting of the whole note notehead and a circle, which you might be able to find from another font on your computer or which you could potentially import as an SVG.

I looked at the Manual, but found only general suggestions (rather than specific instructions on creating composite noteheads).
Probably, the easiest way (at least for me) would be importing a graphics and combining it with plain whole note.
