Clarinets with no key signature?

What’s the best method for creating Clarinets without a key sig?

Any reason why I shouldn’t just add a Bb local key sig?
Or is it better to create my own instrument definition?

I’ve not tried this, but my first thought would be to maybe duplicate the Clarinet in C instrument, renamed of course (and adjusted if you need to Bb in the transposition section). Would that possibly work?

Edit: never mind I just realized obviously it would reflect different key sigs when changing that globally. Still need coffee today. Maybe there’s something in this older thread? No Key Signature Bb Clarinet

Duplicate the Bb clarinet (or your clarinet of choice), and untick “Uses key signature”.

In Configuration mode, I think to remember me that it is a little box to “check” in order to display or not key signature (in editing the instrument).
So, I have seen this little check mark for an Horn part… I suppose it is present for woodwinds too (I am not at home at this moment and I can’t verify).

A variant instrument definition is probably the most seamless way. But if you go the local key sig route, you’d want an Atonal local sig not Bb.

Edit: On 2nd thought Bb would work too. I’m just used to using Atonal. It holds true for any transposition.
