Clarity on Atmos Workflows

It seems the Wave Lab’s workflow expectation for assembling an Atmos album is:

  1. Use the Atmos Master Montage to master individual Atmos titles; plugin processing capabilities are extensive.

  2. Use the Atmos Album Montage to assemble already mastered Atmos songs; processing is limited to the entire project as a whole only, not on an individual title level.

  3. Stereo “Reference Tracks” cannot be processed and exported as an additional stereo deliverable from within the Dolby Atmos Album Montage project.

Is this correct? I want to be able to create an Atmos Album Montage, import ADM and stereo files, selectively apply processing to individual titles/clips in both stereo and Atmos formats, and then export final stereo and Atmos masters from the same Album Montage project.

I’m beginning to think that this workflow is not possible in Wave Lab, but please correct me if I am wrong! Even the humble Dolby Atmos Album Assembler allows you to have separate EQ and Limiter processing on individual Atmos titles once the album has been assembled.

This is correct. Note that you can edit an Atmos montage and a stereo montage in two different tabs, and thanks to the Tab Synchronized Playback feature, you can easily A/B the versions.

Thanks so much for the reply and the clarification! I appreciate it.
