When I just have Guitar Rig Pro 5 open it sounds amazing. As soon as I open Cubase to lay something down the clicks and pops start and make it impossible to record. Anyone else have this issue? Driving me insane.

Increase your Audio Device Buffer Size, please.
Martin’s right. There is an optimum for this dependent on what you are recording. Just play with the settings and the click should disappear. Sometimes it can do it on just one track or on all of them – another Cubase mystery !
