Got all of the CMC working again, didn’t uninstalled the until-now-working yamaha drivers, WIN11 October 2026 . What I did was to download from here : Release In-box Preview 11 (API surface lock) · microsoft/MIDI · GitHub and install these 2 :
Windows.MIDI.Services.Transports.1.0.41-preview.9-x64
and Windows.MIDI.Services.Tools.0.99.92-preview.11-x64
then in win search bar typed for „midi settings”, open the app, then
pressed on every tab that initially was labeled Yamaha USB and then pressed – Customize – edit port names and there I’ve just copied the name what was in the left in the „current name” tab and pasted them in the „your own name tab”, then saved and also updated the name in the „customize endpoint” initial window just to see them labeled properly, so now they appear with their name instead of the „Yamaha usb” generic one. Now I am curios if more than 4 FD units are recognized by Cubase, will try that soon since a friend of mine has another 4. Would be cool to have 8 FD units working simultaneously.
