Hi. This might sound completely elementary but I’ve tried so many times to create my own 32 colour palette to use as my default selection. I never ever managed it. Might there be a secret formula? A few times I created the palette and the save as default was overwritten or something. Another of these things.
I think the “or something” is the likely problem.
When you save it as a default, that will be the Pallet you get for totally new Projects created after that. However Pallets are saved on a per Project basis, meaning existing Projects (including Templates) will continue to use their existing Pallet unless you reset it to use the default. So if you create a new Project using a Template which uses an older Pallet that new Project will also use the old Pallet.
So
- Create your new Pallet
- Set that as the default
- Modify as desired any Templates or existing Projects to use the new Pallet
Many thanks raino. I’ll try as you suggested. Sorry it took so long to respond as I was in transit. I went to the extent of creating a custom palette and it appeared nowhere. Maybe I pressed the wrong button and it was immediately overwritten by the default 16 colours. Bern be trying at it on and off for ages.
