Combine NotePerformer with VDL (Score-Sauce)?

I’m getting very frustrated with Dorico and NotePerformer, as I’ve invested a decent amount of money into both, as well as into getting a VDL to work with the two. I purchased the template from Score-Sauce and it seems that my only options are to use HaLion, which is not an option because I can’t stand HaLion’s playback, or to mute the drumline, which defeats the entire purpose. No matter how I try to add NotePerformer into my score to combine NotePerformer’s brass/woodwinds with Kontakt’s VDL, NotePerformer overrides all of the instruments. Every. Single. Time.

I am using a template that has premade VST instruments, so I need these to remain. I need to be able to add NotePerformer to the file WITHOUT overriding the created instruments, as I do not have a way yo recreate these. I am growing very frustrated with everything. I do not want to continue using MuseScore for my marching percussion, as I want everything in the same file, but I also am growing closer and closer to the point of contacting companies to get a refund, something I don’t think will work in my favor. Neither Wallander nor Score-Sauce has been able to give me anywhere close to a reliable answer.

Firstly, go to Play Mode → VST and MIDI, load any instruments you like, and click the button to save them as an Endpoint Configuration.

Secondly, go to Play → Playback Template to create a new playback template.

The key point is to place your custom endpoint before NotePerformer, so that NotePerformer won’t override your instruments.

I hope this helps.
