Combine Pitched/Unpitched Percussion in same Part

I’m writing out some combined parts for a musical we are doing soon. I would like to include timpani and xylophone in the same part the unpitched percussion plays. I understand how parts work here but when I add instruments to the part in Setup mode it stays as individual staves instead of combining into one single stave for the player.

Is there a setting or some way to get it to show all the instruments on one parts without multiple instrument staves?

Dorico will handle the instrument switching automatically when you are in Page View. In Galley View they will still appear as individual staves. If you see individual staves …

… switch to Page and they will be combined:

(I’ve always thought Dorico handles the 5-line to 1-line transition incorrectly here.)

Ugh, duh. I always forget it has to be in PAGE view and not just the part. Thanks!
