Combined Snare and Bass Drum to a single line

Has anyone created a step by step video that demonstrates how to create a single line snare and bass part in Dorico?

I don’t know if there is a video but it’s pretty easy.
I assume that you want the snare drum above and the bass drum below the single line.

  • In Setup Mode add a player and select Drum Set (Basic).
  • Click on the disclosure triangle if necessary to show the instrument.
  • Click on the three dots (single left-click) of the green percussion kit instrument and select Edit Percussion Kit.
  • Delete all unwanted percussion instruments by selecting them and click on the bin symbol above the Close button.
  • Drag the Kick Drum to below the middle (0) line.
  • Select the Snare Drum and set Stem direction and voice to stem up.
  • Click Apply and Close.
  • Click again on the three dots and select Edit Instrument Definition…
  • In the Staves and Clefs section set Number of staff lines to 1.
  • Click OK.

If you need a second full fledged drum set you have to create a custom percussion kit for the single line snare and bass drum by right-clicking on the player and select Create Empty Kit
