Combining standard notes and rhythmic slashes

I can create the rhythmic slash notes by putting the 16th tuplet and the following eighth note into a slash layer, but I can’t figure out how to beam them together with the notes on either side like the attached image. What am I missing?

You can’t beam together notes from different voices. You could maybe instead change the noteheads?

Thanks, Charles. That’s what I was afraid of. I ended up doing it that way, but was hoping there was a way that would also play the correct notes. It’s a strummed chord at that spot.
