Does the music move today between iOS and desktop? I wonder if that might be another possibility

Or a system for users to collaborate in real time. One notices that Steinberg has announced that VST Transit will be discontinued for Cubase in August. This was a system that facilitated collaboration between Cubase users.
I wonder if there is a new cloud-based system that will support collaboration in a way that is useful for both Cubase and Dorico users. Thatâs not necessarily the same thing as better interoperability between Dorico and Cubase. If VST Transit is being removed in 3 months, one would think its replacement would be available before the cutoff.
I never used VST Transit, but it is a cloud-based service for Cubase users to share parts of their Cubase projects with others. If I understand it correctly. VST Transit shares only the media files. It does not share VST effects or other mix settings, group buses or other routing stuff. It does nothing with MIDI. If that is correct, it doesnât seem terribly useful to me.
It is hard to believe that Steinberg or any other company would be walking away from cloud-based collaboration in 2023. So I surmise that VST Transit is being dropped because it was so incomplete, and surely should be replaced by something that is much more comprehensive. That was all within the Cubase domain, of course, so none of that necessarily would have any connection with Dorico. But if Steinberg is trying to âdo collaboration rightâ perhaps they have a new architecture that encompasses both products.
Or maybe Iâm just hallucinating.
Well, maybe we are both on the wrong track but your suggestion makes a lot of sense to me. I guess we will all find out next week!
I rather think you are all missing the point. âCreate music that movesâ is a clear preannouncement for Dorico on smart watches.

Control screens in cars are now bigger than an iPad. Why focus on driving, when you can compose?

True, and if you record all the honking, screeching, crashing, and screaming, you might be able to incorporate that as well and create a stunningly novel work. Printed in blood ![]()

Didnât Gershwin already write this? American in Paris? ![]()
Perhaps it is much simpler. Dorico moves from version 4 to 5.
It will be a Score-to-Dance addition. Enter the score, then select the dance notation desired - most likely Laban- and instead of video there will be a virtual ballet performed on your desktop/laptop/tablet. Of course, you have to purchase your own virtual dance troupe separately. I believe that Arne Wallander is a work on an integrative playback/movement engine to work within Dorico.
no, no, no.
people are reading WAY too much into this announcement.
the video is clearly marked âcoming soon⌠May 24thâ.
and thatâs the whole thing⌠May 24th will be here soon.
what happens on May 24th? why, nothing.

Compose a sonata, but make it with a Beethoven style with a little bit of Glass. Make sure there are no parallel 5th, except if they are between the sousaphone and the piccolo
