Hi everybody,
did anyone out there get a Korg NanoKontrol 2 cycle button working correctly with VST Live on mac?
The NanoKontrol 2 is working smoothly out of the box with Cubase 13 and 14 and other brand’s software.
In VST Pro I had to manually map the buttons for Play, Stop etc but that’s not the problem.
The issue is that the Cycle button keeps changing the setting on its own after the first use in a setlist from “on/off” to “toggle” (still showing on/off in the menu when I go back to check).
The “button” mode will allow me to only turn it on once. No way to get it off other than reaching the laptop keyboard.
Updated to 2.1.29.263 but the issue is still there.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you checked the button mode (on/off, toggle) in the NanoKontol2? VL and Nanokontrol2 should have the same setting.
Hi Falfango,
thanks for your reply, you got it right and put me on the right path!!!
Downloaded the NanoKontrol Editor for Mac from Korg’s website (https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/software/0/159/1355/) and checked the setting for the Cycle button.
It was set on momentary (the other option is toggle).
Moved it to toggle and now it’s working smoothly in VST Live Pro.
For the record, while the settings didn’t affect the way the cycle button works in Cubase 14, it seems it changed the way it works with Logic (you need to touch the button 2 times instead of one to set/remove the cycle function).
Not a big deal for me but maybe someone could find the info useful.
Thanks again Falfango you solved the problem!!!

You can make one scene for VL and one for Cubase. Than you can easily swap between the 2 scenes with one button. I use it only for VL and this small device is a very good extension for VL. Especially in connection with CME WIDI. With that I can use it without a cable and turn it on/off whenever I like to save battery time.
