Concealing objects that I don't want in the score

Hi, so far the best I’ve been able to do is put a big “X” through the object so I can remove it using a text box from a different application, but is there a way to just make a white text box to cover things like this up without having to go that route? It’s one of those things that refuses to go away with other methods like edit < hide, etc.
Thanks as always,

Jonny

What is the object you are trying to remove? Where did it come from?

A couple of ideas, depending on what you want to hide:
e.g: If it’s a note you want to hide you can manipulate the custom size to 1 and it pretty much makes it disappear. You could also play with the color; change to white.

With some other symbols you may find they have a hidden option to make them disappear:

These are so far two things I do when I need something invisible on the score.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, this does work well for notes and rests.

A slur that extended onto the next page.

Slurs in tie chains have properties for whether they should go to the first note or last note in the tie chain (and this can be changed globally, too).

Could you attach a screenshot of the problem?
I don’t yet see why a slur that extends to another page might be a problem. I mean, if you don’t want to see the slur, why not just remove it?
