I’m wondering why Dorico is condensing this way?
In 3/8 bar 1st oboe with upwards stems and a rest for the 2nd, then in the next measure resumes as at the beginning, marking the 1st oboe.
Condensation options is:

Hi @musicamultimedia, there is a Notation option to adjust this. Minimum length of range of rests to allow hiding: x quarter notes (crotchets) . 2 is the default value:
