Condensing in groups doesn't work (for me)

In Layout options i’ve grouped Trumpets like 1. and then 2-3-4 together
and trombone ~ trb 1. and trb 2-3 together
But it doesn’t show ?

For condensing problems, it’s very difficult to diagnose without seeing the project itself.

I thought it was a user driven forum, I apologise.
The file is to big , here is an excert
Tom AND Jerry At MGM-TEST.dorico (3.2 MB)

You have voice crossing in both groups. Raise the number of voice crossings allowed

Trumpet 4 starts “in the middle of a condensing phrase” of tp2 & 3. You should add a condensing change at the start of tpt 4 if you want it condensed, so that those three instruments can have the same start of “condensing phrase”.

Thanks Estigy and MarcLarcher

I love the work you’ve done. I’ve tried my advice on your file (which I had not seen before) and had to force trumpet 4 into condensing at the start of the work, otherwise it would not condense with 2 and 3…
Maximum number of pitch crossing higher is an excellent advice.
I don’t know why you’ve chosen to show the player’s name instead of the instrument, I find it’s more legible with condensing than to read repeated names :

i’m a Finale user since 1993 - I use Tom and Jerry - Scott Bradley as an crash course/Tutorial since I work a lot with orchestral pieces.
I love the forum and the help I get…
Thanks

I use his score (MGM) as an guideline and whatever i like I try to duplicate his/theirs version of the score

Outstanding material to test out those features!
There are options to have the transposition show in another line (below the label options), this would be even better for horizontal spacing.
