Condensing Options

Hey all,

When I use the condensing option on a full orchestral score I’m working on, it will sort the 4 horns into 2 staves for the first couple pages or so. But then it will merge all the horns (and really, other groups of like instruments) into a single staff on later pages, even there are different pitches. I’ve got a couple images attached to illustrate what I mean.

Is there currently a way to change how Dorico condensing staves?

Welcome to the forum, SilverRain. You can create custom condensing groups each containing two horns, on the Players page of Layout Options, which will ensure they’ll always be paired up rather than getting condensed down to a single staff.
