I’m editing an orchestral score for a composer, and have found that with condensing turned on (which I very much want on this particular page - lots of woodwind playing a2), the beaming of the two 16th grace notes before the barline splits, even in staves that have just a single instrument on. In both galley view and page view non-condensed they appear beamed as normal, and I have tried resetting beaming too. Any clues? Screenshot attached. Dorico 6.1.10
Very weird. Here the exact (at least visual) copy of the top staff you show and all is fine for me. Probably best post a Dorico file with only the bars with the problem.
Hey! Thanks for your help. Unfortunately the composer wouldn’t let me post even an 8 bar extract, but the act of attempting to cut it down eventually helped me to work out the issue. It was related to a manual condensing change (from “no condensing” to “reset”) in the Violin 1 and 2 staves (both div. a3) on the following page (2 bars after this screenshot). I’m not entirely sure why it caused this issue hon the previous page, but moving the condensing change another page later has solved the issue with the grace note beaming! Relief… Thanks again.
