Condensing two pianos

Is it possible to condense two piano parts? I was looking at the 1948 Boosey & Hawk revision of Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms. They condense the two piano parts when they are playing the same thing. I’m only studying the score so I don’t have to do it in Dorico, but I was wondering if it is possible. I can’t figure out a way to do it. The only work around I can figure is to hide the 2nd piano part when it is duplicating the 1st and add text in the score to indicate both pianos are playing the same thing. I tried to make a condensing change but piano is not an available instrument to condense.

I don’t think you can condense grand staff instruments.

Honestly, I would create a 3rd piano called, for example “Piano I.II”, hidden throughout, and shown only when needed with the proper material.
In correspondence, hide the other two pianos for the needed systems.
