I am trying to create a condense the parts of two singers who sing a lot of the same thing. Most of the time the condensing works fine, but several times when one voice breaks off at the end of a measure, all the notes are shown twice in the bar which is difficult to read. I have tried changing the condensing settings, but can’t get it to display correctly
Hi @Joel_Walley, and welcome to the forum.
Condensing is not (jet) optimised for vocal+lyrics. But in homophonic passages can work.
With condensing issues especially, it is helpful if you could upload a cut-down version of your Dorico Project, to avoid the need of recreating your situation based solely on the screenshot.
(In your case probably would be enough to place a Condensing Change on the “and”, check-marking the singers in the dialogue, but difficult to say, without having the Dorico Project)
Please see this important thread, in particular Nr. 4.
Thanks for the tip @Christian_R I have attached the project, cut down to a small section with the problem. You suggested adding a Condensing Change and check-marking the singers in the dialogue, but I’m not sure what you mean by check-marking.

Hi @Joel_Walley, as @Christian_R was suggesting, insert a condensing change at the “and” place:
Click OK, and then:

Thank you! That has solved my problem.
