Confirmation before deletion

Hi.
Is there a way to get a confirmation prompt before deleting anything significant (tracks, layers, or stacks)? For example, I accidentally deleted a track outside the visible area. :smiling_face_with_tear: Ctrl-Z often works incorrectly or has consequences (this is a separate topic). This would have given me a reason to stop and read what I was deleting.

It would also be great to have a “Delete” function instead of “Cut” that deletes without touching the contents of the clipboard. :partying_face:

Undo can be related to Project (Songs, Parts, Layers etc), or to the “tracks” part (“DAW”). There are seperate undo entries in the Project, and Tracks menus.

I had some weirdness with undo on tracks.

  1. I’m doing undo on a midi track
  2. It only works the second time
  3. The sound on the audio tracks disappears
  4. It’s restored if I move the audio track left and right

If there’s another case where undo doesn’t work or has a very limited number of steps back
