Congas 2 1 3

Greetings, I’m trying edit the staff line names I’ve setup for congas.

I want Conga 1 Quinto on the middle line, Conga 2 Tumba on the top line and Conga 3 Super Tumba on the bottom line (to correspond with the players view).

I started with this in setup:

But the staff shows:

After editing it shows this

The edit name window shows Conga 1 Quinto on top no matter that I have and want Quinto on the middle line in the setup window (1st photo).

How do I edit the staff line names so that it shows Conga 1 Quinto on the middle line, Conga 2 Tumba on top and Conga 3 Super Tumba on the bottom.

Suggestions?

You have found the edit names dialog, so what happens if you edit those names?

It won’t do it. Everything starts to get mixed up.

Post a cutdown (delete all the notes) of your score and someone will help.

Score Post.dorico (2.3 MB)

This shows the staff lines as conga 2-1-3 as I want, but the edit instrument window shows conga 1 corresponding to Tumba instead of Quinto, Conga 2 corresponds to Quinto instead of Tumba. Conga 3 is correct as is.

Hi @jazzvibe, since you are using the Grid visualisation for your congas in that Layout (as set in Layout Options>Players>Percussion), you need to edit your Percussion Kit’s Grid panel, where you can move the instruments as desired (each visualisation, 5-line staff, Grid, Single-line instrument can be set independently):
