Connect DJI Mic3 to UR44 Audio Interface

I have purchased a DJI Mic3 wireless transmitter / receiver. The receiver has an audio output port and a 3.5mm audio cable which the instructions say you can connect to a camera. However, I would like to connect the audio output to one of my UR44 mic inputs. I have put a 1/4" adaptor on the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable, but when I plug it into the UR44 input, the DJI receiver turns off. Is there a way to do this? Does the DJI receiver turn off because it could get damaged by connecting it to the UR44?

Further to this, I discovered that I can connect the USB port on the DJI receiver to my computer. Then, using Reaper, I open Options->Preferences->Device and set the Audio system to either:

  • DirectSound (with Input device: Primary Sound Capture Driver)

or

  • Audio system WaveOut (with Input device Microsoft Sound Mapper).

However, the sound is bad either way. There must be a better way.
