Connecting Cubase Pro 11 on PC to a (Android) tablet

I would love to be able to use the Mixing Console of Cubase Pro 11 (PC) on a tablet (probably Android). Next to that, I would like to use a tablet as a MIDI controller for Cubase, to draw automation and expression lines and stuff like that.

However, I have no idea if what I want is possible.

To be clear, these are my questions on this:

  1. Is it possible to connect Cubase Pro 11 (PC) to a tablet (Android?)
  2. If possible, which app to use? Is this a feature in Cubasis 3? Or do I need a third party app?
  3. Does this work well? I would love to hear your experiences.

Hi Robert

Welcome to the steinberg forums :+1:

Steinberg have the ICpro app - although it may be IOS only ?

you can use it via. web broswer but I’d avoid it as it’ feels like an app from a decade or so…and in fact it is !

My answers would be:

1 . try the free AVID control app - highly recommended - despite the current Steinberg EUCON issues

  1. lots of options for midi control apps - I have TouchOSC but others have their own favourites
