Constants audio dropouts

Hello,

it has been a while since I had this recurring issue with Cubase 14, and it is becoming worse and worse, so I finally decided to get to the bottom of this.
I have attached screenshots and video of the situation, let me know if you need more information.

At the moment I am not able to use Cubase because of this.

Cubase: 14.0.41

Windows 11 Pro 25H2

Universal Audio Volt 1, Driver 1.2.0 Firmware 1.0.0

PS: I have the usage logging, but the forum does not let me upload it

What Nvidia driver are you running. Are you up to date and did you make sure it is the studio driver

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

NVIDIA studio driver Version 591.74

You haven’t said anything about your workload… no. of tracks (audio, MIDI), VSTi’s, track / group plugins, master bus plugins, sends, how many group busses, etc. You don’t have to list every item but a summary would be useful.

Is this problem only happening on one project, or all of them?

Hi,

I did not think it would be relevant since the CPU and RAM are barely utilized, or does it actually matter?

But anyway, my projects are not that complex, at most 30 tracks, around 70% VSTs and rest is audio, 4-5 group basses, 3-4 sends.

In the past I have worked on much bigger projects with way older machines and never had those issues.

You have 2 cores over 80% peaking to 90%. So yeah, too many heavy FX on master or in any single chain of process (track/group/master) can cause problems. I think I read the intels with e-cores can be worse with this…if that’s you maybe see if things get worse or better with e-cores and or hyperthreading disabled. Also always worth running latencymon to check if you might need to further optimise your computer.
