Content Missing When Importing Profiles Between Cubase 14/15 and Cubase 15/15

Hi,

first of all: Yes, as long as Cubase 14 is still on your system it should be doable.

Have you actively created a profile in Cubase 14? If you didn’t then there will be no profile to draw from. Usually, your preferences should have automatically being transferred to C15 during the update - with or without profiles. Apparently, this didn’t work out in your case.

What I would do: Open Cubase 14 and create a profile following this instruction.

Afterwards, import this new profile to C15. You will notice, that your control room presets will not be transferred properly as I described above. However, that’s a one time thing once the new file structure is established. I am still connecting the dots how the new profile.xml interacts with Control Room presets but I am almost there.

First, try this way and see if anything is missing. If this shouldn’t work - I very much expect it does - please, list the preferences that are missing. There are other ways to restore them, too. Not as elegant as the profile functionality but it’s still doable.
