Continuation line on tied note

Hi there! I’m working through the Udemy course and working on the string quartett assignment. I’ve bumped into something I can’t figure out: I can’t get a continuation line to show on a playing technique over a tied note. The line shows on every other instance where I use the same technique, just not on the tied note. I’ve included two screenshots to illustrate this (the udemy course calls for a custom version of the sul pont. technique but I’ve used the default one here, the behavior is the same):

As you can see, I don’t even get the continuation type option in the properties in Engrave mode (second picture), but it’s the same Playing technique item. Does this have anything to do with the fact that it’s over a tied note? Or did I mess something up myself? I can post the file too if that’s necessary. For what it’s worth, in the udemy video the line appears just like it does everywhere else, but that was recorded with Dorico 4 I believe. Thanks in advance!

With the sul pont. marking selected, use Shift+Alt+right arrow to extend its duration: that should make the continuation line appear.
