I started Cubase 13 today and was surprised to find that most of the program’s settings were reset… (Everything was fine yesterday). What became a problem was that the Control Room settings all disappeared. I reconnected the monitor output, then tried to re-place the control plugins in the insert locations, but I couldn’t find the insert points…

I somehow did it once, but I have no idea how… I tried to search for it, but it was unsuccessful.

When you say “everything was fine yesterday” Im going to assume that you closed C13? You didnt leave it open, and come back the next day to resume where you left off? And you closed C13 properly without any abnormalities? And then you shut down your computer. Is it PC or Mac?
Ill assume your audio connections have not changed?
And assuming you shut down your computer, then started it the next day and when starting C13 did it load your project normally or did the Safe Mode option pop up?
Sorry to sound exasperating, but these things need to be verified to grasp an understanding. Others have recently experienced this issue, so you may wish to do a search here. You are far from the only user with this issue. Regardlesss, the above are things that need to be confirmed in order to narrow down the issue.
I too have experienced this issue, but not for a few months. And, i can’t even remember when it happened if a Safe Mode prompt happened because I was testing other multiple issues in C13 that might have prompted Safe Mode.

Windows 11 updated with all available updates.
Yesterday, the program was properly stopped, and I exited Windows properly. There was no hardware update between the two starts. Today, when I started it, it started strangely. I had to reset which audio driver I wanted to use (mainboard or Tascam us20x20), even though it didn’t change, there was no update, there was no safe mode. After that, the plugin was very slow when loading, so I was forced to quit the program. The latter case already happened, so I didn’t even bother with it. Then when I restarted the program, everything was back to normal. Already on the start screen, the project history window was empty, as if I had never filled one before. I searched for the project, loaded it, and then I saw that, except for my own track colors, everything was set to default. This wouldn’t have been a problem, because I quickly restored everything, only I got stuck at the Control Room in the end. There was a problem with that in the past, but somehow I was able to add the desired control plugin. I just don’t remember how I did it…

Hi,
To me, it looks like the preferences were deleted for some reason. I have seen this issue a few times here on the forum. Unfortunately, it’s not reproducible.
Because of this, you had to choose the Audio Device, the Recent Projects list was empty, the plug-in scan took time, the Control Room was empty…
Please, what do you mean by:
If you open CR (Control Room) in the Right Zone, you can switch the Main and Inserts tabs at the bottom of the Right Zone. Select the Insert tab.

If I understand it correctly, you want to get, what is on the 1st screenshot with the red, but you can’t reach this. Am I right?
Then click on the Main tab, when the Inserts tab is selected.
