I needed a 2.1 output so the xovers etc could be set with the ever so sweet Ozone HP/LP linear phase
I use this throughout the project ie multichannel but adding a stereo instance of an fx to a particular stereo pair
HOWEVER
I have just set up control room to take advantage of that but I cannot see anywhere to assign the routing? There were some other post for cubase 6/8 but nothing for 12/13?
Yes I read the manual lol
How did you setup 2.1? I can see 3.0 and 3.1 but not 2.1.
Anyway, in Audio Connections → Control Room you would add a Monitor and then select the appropriate configuration in the upcoming dialog.
I am probably misunderstanding you.
Yeah I just hacked it. Im using LRC+Lfe (so I can gain the sub channel)
L > Left monitor
R > Right mon
LFE > Sub
Yeah I think you might be missing it
eg
Here I have the B monitor selected. When B is selected, I want the L&R to use HP @ 100hz
I want the LFE to use 100hz
Normally eg on master you can easily do this…
but I need it to be on a per monitor basis
How do I see the routing assignment for monitor inserts?
Surely others would be doing this right?
Just grabbed this from the manual:

Is that it? At the bottom?
Not that I could see
Ill use that same plug on the oonitor insert which is set as LRC+LFE
Routing is a system function but can be a plugin one…but you would imagine system comes first
Your image is of “monodelay”. So… maybe that’s it?
I just checked my “MixerDelay” plugin in Control Room and it has “5.1” selected and from that drop-down menu I can see “Open Routing Editor…” and clicking on it opens the editor.
So maybe it’s just that one plugin for you.
MonoDelay works for me as well:
Check your routing in CR? Maybe try with a wider channel count than 3.1?
I only used mono delay so it was the same as yours
All the plugins I put there do not have a routing option
As in normal mixer channels, I need to be able to insert any plug ie mono, stereo etc
Its working fine in the master buss
I still dont understand why, by now, there is no 2.1 option as its the most common by far and do the channel management in control room as its so elaborate and excellent yet missing some key features
Ok, so last idea then is to make the speaker output 6-channel using the 5.1 layout. That would make it equal to my main output path and you should see what I see I would think.
could you take a bigger snip showing the main out and downmix options in CR?
Cheers
No matter what I do there is no change
sorry, I meant showing inserts
You’re sure your path (“D”) is 3.1 wide, right?
EDIT: nvmd, I see that now.
Thanks for your help
Hmmm…it just cant be this hard to do such a basic thing
Well, I mean… it wasn’t for me… I wonder what’s up; if it’s a difference between Nuendo and Cubase (I’m on the former) or if your project maybe is corrupted or something… weird…
Ill try starting a new fresh project later…have to actually work and this has taken up so much time
This was from a fresh template which has actually been years of work…hope its not corrupt
Vielen Dank!
