Cheers for the reply
I just cant keep spending time on rebuilding templates etc. I use pretty complex mixer routing and it takes a long time to set it all up …and I dont take it lightly; I really need to get stuff done and I no longer have time for this. The mixes I do now are so far ahead of 10, even 1 year ago actually, feel like Im finally getting into the real space…just saying if you play the same song on violin for 30 years, you are bound to get better at it. Not a conceited rave but Im sure you know what Im saying
So yes, Im prepared to invest time, study etc but to wrestle with the paintbrushes is not ok.
Time isnt just money, its actual life…time and the joy of making music is being robbed
This is so far away from anything that ever happened to me with Cubase that it is almost hard to imagine we use the same software. Don’t get me wrong, I believe you when you describe all your issues. None of that stuff happens to me.
It almost sounds like it is not Cubase but some OS “keep folders synced” job. It sees that a file has changed and reverts it back. Spooky. Not my area of expertise, though, so I don’t know if that was even possible.
All the crazy stuff happened before that…the syncing of files was an answer to it.
Never had any of this with SX…it all started get flaky after the rewrite…when I started really expanding bussing and stuff like that…cant remember what version…5 or 6 I think and just progressively worse over time
I dont really have much choice…pretty crazy to throw away over 3 decades of Cubase…thanks
Funnily enough…SX is a rocket and does nearly all I need…just doesnt load new plugins
