Hi,
Where can I control the display of the key (C) for a transposed instrument in a score ? I would like to make the C smaller and have the option to choose whether to display it or not. Please see the attached file.
Hi,
I can’t figure out how it’s possible to get the C in another font size than “Tpt”… Did you change something manually?
To display or not the pitches in the staff labels, go to Layout Options > Staves and Systems > Staff Labels > Pitch and transposition.
Hi
It makes no difference If I untick “ show in abbreviated staff labels. The C is still there.
But the choice between start and end position works.
I manually changed the font size in setup mode/ instrument names.
OK thanks, I can reproduce it. If you change the font size in the Edit Instrument Name dialog, it doesn’t affect the pitch letter. I’d suggest the following: in the Edit Instrument Name dialog, click Reset to Default (bottom right), then OK.
Now go to Library > Paragraph Styles, and edit the Staff Labels font as you wish. This way it should be consistent.
As for show/unshow pitch in Layout Options, there could be a problem with instruments in C which prevents to make a difference between full labels and abbreviated ones — it rings a bell. I don’t have time to investigate now, but I’m pretty sure this has been discussed in the forum.
In that case you could have to manually change the instrument name (e.g. C Trumpet and Tpt) and set the Show Transpostition option (in the Edit Instrument Name dialog) to “Never”.
Thank you very much, it works with your suggestions
