Assign a key command to the following macro and Voilá!
Just have to hit “Enter/return” to add an audio track during the macro and then select “Dry” and “keep source track” in the Render window.
This way you create a stereo track keeping inserts and automation and the original track name in seconds.
By copying data to a new stereo audio track one gets the stereo clip, the duplication step is to obtain inserts and automation from the original track, other operations are to delete the temporary created tracks.
